Some notes:

·         Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat soluble so their absorption depends on the presence of fat in the meal
·         The conversion of carotenoids to retinol is inefficient but the amount of carotenoids in certain foods makes up for this and the conversion can be improved if consumed with fats
·         Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate
